Love. Earth. Justice.
A Multifaith Service of Prayer, Celebration, and Resolve
Faith and spirituality have always sustained people through difficult times. In this age of colliding crises—from pandemic to systemic racism, from inequality of wealth and power to ecological collapse—they can play a crucial role in sustaining our movements for change.
At 3 pm on Sunday, October 3, 2021, MassIPL will convene Love. Earth. Justice.: A Multifaith Service of Prayer, Celebration, and Resolve. We will gather at Old South Church in Boston to celebrate creation and community, mourn all we have lost, and call each other to faithful action. If you can’t be with us in person, join us by livestream here!
Planned for approximately ninety minutes, the service will include prayer, readings, and uplifting music, with an inspiring sermon from Rev. Traci Blackmon, Associate General Minister of Justice & Local Church Ministries for The United Church of Christ.
Other worship leaders and musicians:
Marie-Thérèse “Tess” Browne, Sisters of Charity of Nazareth
Rev. Dr. Margaret Bullitt-Jonas, Missioner for Creation Care for the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts and the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ and Advisor for Creation Care for the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts
